The Mountain Man Memorial March partners with American Legion Post #2
The Mountain Man Memorial March is a challenging marathon length march or run through the scenic Smokey Mountains and Gatlinburg Tennessee, what began as a way to honor one of our fallen, UT alum 1st Lt. Frank Walkup. The event has quickly expanded into a tribute which honors all our fallen American heroes and become the largest Gold Star Mother recognition ceremony in the southeast.
The Mountain Man Memorial March is pleased to announce its partnership with American Legion Post #2 in Knoxville, TN. This partnership allows the MMMM to reach out to Veterans' groups in and around east Tennessee and the southeast US. This partnership also allows sponsors and supporters to make tax deductible donations to the MMMM. This partnership will allow the MMMM and the American Legion to increase our ability to recognize Golden Star Families, Veterans from all branches of the US Military, and our Fallen Heroes.
