We are truly Veterans Still Serving America. On behalf of the Post 2 family consisting of the American Legion, the American Legion Auxiliary, the American Legion Riders, and the Sons of the American Legion, I welcome you to our website as the gateway to our "Post 2 Story". Here you can learn about the American Legion and our post, both of which were formed in 1919 making us one of the oldest posts in the nation. We are also one of the largest in Tennessee.
We serve our great nation and its incredible Veterans and their families in the local community and beyond. Whether still in the armed forces or not, our desire to continue to serve America has never waned. The American Legion at Post 2 is how we do it.
Here, explore the programs we support in the Knoxville community including organizing the annual Knoxville Veterans' Parade, and supporting Honor Air, UT's Mountain Man Memorial March, the Salvation Army, the Knoxville Veteran's Standdown, Memorial Day activities, the East Tennessee Veterans Memorial, Salute to Heroes at Smokies Park, Jr. ROTC progams and so much more. Did you know that the Boys State and Oratorical Contest programs both award scholarships? I'm sure you will find an activity you are interested in or we will help you start a new one!

Whether serving on active duty, retired, in the Reserves, the National Guard, an Auxiliary member or a Son of the Legion, we have members from 93 to 16 years old. Our common bond is we are proud Americans who are still dedicated to serving our community and our fellow Veterans. We have been doing so for almost 100 years.
